What Is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a dermal filler that can be used to treat a variety of common aesthetic issues like deep facial folds, sagging skin, sunken cheeks, and diminished facial contours. Juvederm injections are one of the most popular options for non-surgical facial rejuvenation because they offer natural-looking and long-lasting results.

Juvederm products come in the form of a smooth gel and contain a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin that helps it retain moisture to stay plump and supple.

When injected into the skin, Juvederm’s smooth gel formula lifts and smooths out the skin which reduces the appearance of dropping skin, folds, and wrinkles. Juvederm treatments also help to stimulate collagen production which gives the skin strength and structure.

Juvederm Aftercare

Juvederm treatments take around 45 minutes to an hour to complete. There is no long recovery period following the treatment. Most normal activities can be resumed right away, though strenuous activities should be avoided for a few days.

Side effects can include some swelling, bruising, tenderness, numbness, and irritation around the injection sites, but these issues will subside over the coming days.
